Both mine in the bin, became unusable. ENjoying the EE TV digibox, though still not as good as the 3view could have been.

Re: There is life in the old girl yet

I think I'm finally about to consign mine to the scrapheap. I've had EE fibre for about 18 months including the TV package, and the DVR / PVR you get with that is excellent - 4 tuners, permanently recording 6 HD channels so that you can skip back up to 24 hours in the EPG and watch anything that was...

Re: The future of 3viewpvr.info

Moving BB provider. Currently with plusnet at £10 per month, plus line rental. New deal with EE for £10 per month plus line rental (18 month contract) including new EE TV box (only available to EE/T-mobile/Orange customers, and as my son has an old T-Mobile PAYG phone that counts!) So no new costs, ...

Re: The future of 3viewpvr.info

After such optimism with 3view in the first place, 'tis a sad state of affairs that it is going awol, but it's unfair if you are bearing the financial cost just to keep us lot happy! Sad to see it go. On a similar vein, however, I am shortly to be consigning my two 3view boxes to the bin. THe playro...

Re: Boot looping

I've messed around with the muxes before, but actually never run into an issue with Com4. Fortunately as I've got two boxes, copying archived channel lists is simple for me! I've had a NowTV free subscription for the last 3 months, and that's meant we've watched almost nothing but streamed stuff (ma...

Boot looping

So finally one of our two boxes has started to play up "properly". Continually booting via 3view splash screen, to CodgeView splash screen, and then sticking on that until it is rebooted. Haven't yet got around to re-installing firmware etc, but will be doing that next - last "official" firmware fir...

Re: Popping and crackling on HD live / recordings

Ted - I can't confirm ITV popping / cracking personally as (snob that I am) I almost never (want to) watch anything on ITV, and very, very rarely record anything there. I agree with you that it varies from programme to programme, and the loud "crack" at the start of some of the programmes is present...

Re: Popping and crackling on HD live / recordings

btw, have you found your box crashing in the mornings at all? Mine does about 30% of the time at the moment. I did start watching back a recording which had the glitchy sound and after about 3 minutes the box locked up completely. And ditto when watching live something which had the same issue. Not ...
